The semiconductor thermal imaging print head heats and vaporizes the solid pigment on the ribbon, which sublimes and transfers to the printing medium. By adjusting the temperature of the heating element, precise control of color proportion and shade is achieved. It effectively solves the ink dot defects that may occur in other printing technologies, thus achieving 256 levels of gradation per color, totaling 16.77 million color levels of rich expression.
